The Emperor Franz Josef Cake derives from an old recipe of the k.u.k. Monarchy. (Imperial and Royal Monarchy)

The close relationship between the Hotel Regina and the Emperor Franz Josef goes back to the construction of the Votiv Church behind the Hotel. The Church was built in memory of the failed assassination of Emperor Franz Josef I.

The cake consists in part of nuts-, biscuit- and chocolate pastry cream. The exact ingredients and preparation are kept strictly secret.

The cake is a perfect present to send or just a marvelous souvenir of a pleasant stay in Vienna.
